John Bennett MBACP. Counselling & Supervision
My name is John Bennett. I am a Registered and Accredited Member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). I bring many years experience, counselling people with a wide variety of issues.
I expect you have arrived at this website because you are experiencing some discontent or distress in your life and believe that now is the right time to seek professional help. I will offer you a place where you can talk about your concerns and issues safely, explore difficult emotions, acknowledge problematic memories and gain insight and understanding so as to achieve greater self-awareness, develop better ways of living and so enjoy a more contented and healthier life.
I offer one-to-one counselling / psychotherapy in discreet and conveniently located premises in Enniskillen. My training and experience can help you if you struggle with psychological trauma; self-esteem; difficulties resulting from emotional, physical or sexual abuse; depression, anxiety and stress. Indeed the need to find a safe place to talk is often prompted by everyday life events like separation, divorce, the diagnosis/impact of health conditions, bereavement and loss.
I work as an integrative therapist bringing the following to bear on my practice:
- A Person-Cantered Approach – valuing the client’s inner resources towards self-realisation
- Cognitive Therapy Approach – paying attention to the impact of unhelpful thinking
- Psychodynamic Approach – relating past experiences to the present.
Do please feel free to contact me by phone or email when we can have the opportunity to discuss your particular needs and address any questions you may have about counselling.
Supervision is today increasingly understood to describe the complex task of facilitating learning for practitioners from across a range of helping professions including counselling, education, psychology, health, allied health, pastoral, church and community settings.
For people working in these ever demanding professions and environments, the opportunity to step back and reflect on their work offers the space to see situations from new perspectives thus generating new possibilities and resulting in people practicing in new ways.
I offer cross professional and counselling supervision to individuals and groups, for individuals and organisations where I aim to facilitate supervisee learning that will impact positively in the supervisee’s own work place.
