I am a counsellor working in private practice and for a bereavement charity. I worked as a counsellor within the NHS for eight years.
If you are struggling with:
- low mood or depression
- anxiety or stress-related problems, which might be emotional or physical
- grief when someone important has died
- loss of identity when a realtionship ends
- financial problems following redundancy
- low self-esteem or lack of confidence
- loss of faith and trust in others
- lack of motivation and hope for the future
Then I can offer you:
A safe place in which to be yourself. Experiencing an environment where you are not judged and where you feel secure and accepted can enable you to talk freely, perhaps for the first time, about issues which before might have seemed too painful or too frightening.
A new perspective. Sharing a problem with someone trained to listen can help you see things in a different light and give you fresh insight. This is especially relevant if events or feelings from your past continue to impact on your life in the present, preventing you from moving forward. Exploring difficult issues can make the unbearable more manageable.
A way forward.
Counselling can help you move forward into the next phase of your life with a new confidence. Please get in touch if you think I might be able to help you move on.
