I am a chartered clinical psychologist, practicing since 2000, working part-time in private practice and part-time in the NHS.
In my private practice, I specialise in treating people struggling with depression, post-natal depression, anxiety and relationship difficulties, as well as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, stemming from experiences of childhood abuse and neglect.
In the NHS, I am employed as a highly specialist clinical psychologist at the Traumatic Stress Clinic, Camden and Islington Mental Health Foundation Trust.
I am registered as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the Health Professions Council (registration number PYL02692).
I am an associate fellow of the British Psychological Society (Registration number: 169252), a full practitioner member of the division of clinical psychology and a member of the section for crisis, disaster and trauma psychology.
I am a member of the UK Psychological Trauma Society (UKPTS) and the European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ESTSS).
I am a member of EMDR Association of UK and Ireland.
Training, qualifications & experience
I work integratively to meet client needs.
I have a psychodynamic psychotherapy background, which informs my practice, but am also trained in CBT, Mindfulness and Compassion Focussed Therapy approaches.
I specialise in working with PTSD and am trained in evidence based treatments for PTSD, including EMDR, as well as Somatic Trauma Therapy.
