Joanne Dalton MBACP, Dip Couns, B.A. (Hons)
103 High Street
I am a qualified and caring counsellor who works with individuals and couples in my private practice at Room to...; therapy rooms based in Burton-upon-Trent. I know that it is not always easy to seek help, especially in difficult and painful circumstances; so here I provide a confidential, safe, non-judgemental and trusting space for you to explore and express your thoughts and feelings.
I am experienced in working on both a short and long term basis and with adults of different ages and from different backgrounds and cultures. My aim is to help you to explore your history, experiences, difficult situations or relationships, so that you start to have a deeper understanding of your self and begin to make choices and changes in order to move forward and live life more fully.
I have studied and trained in a variety of approaches and will draw on all of these to tailor the counselling to your needs. We will review our work together on a regular basis to ensure I am working in a way that is beneficial for you and at a pace to suit you.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and conform to its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy.
