Joanne Bimpson Dip Counselling
Hello, my name is Jo and I am a qualified Person Centered Counsellor. This counselling approach offers you a place where you can explore your feelings surrounding past or present events which are threatening your sense of well being.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and I work within their ethical framework.
I feel I am very lucky to be in my line of work as a Counsellor. I am dedicated to help make a difference in someone's life. Through listening empathically, being non-judgemental and showing respect, I feel I can offer a safe, confidential and caring environment for anyone facing difficulties in their life.
Within my several years of counselling, I have experienced working with both adults and children. Helping them through a wide range of problems and issues including, anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationships, family problems and stress.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Counsellor and I trained in Person Centred approach. Though I now use other therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural techniques and relaxation where deemed necessary.
As well as my private practice, I volunteer for a charitable organisation in Preston and I also counsel children in primary schools using play therapy techniques.
I am a registered member of the BACP and I work within their ethical framework.
