Joanna Clapp Counselling and Psychotherapy BA (Hons), PG Dip, MBACP Registered
Anxiety, depression or stress may be disrupting your life. Or you may be at one of life's periods of change, or have strong feelings such as anger or self doubt . I will work with you to develop a greater understanding about yourself and your current situation so that you move towards reaching your potential and an improved sense of well-being.
I am an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist with a private practice in Hastings which is accessible from surrounding areas including Battle and St Leonards. I offer confidential counselling to couples and individuals which fits around you, including face to face, walk and talk, by Skype, and by telephone.
A couple can be unsure if the difficulties they're going through are life's ups and downs, or something more serious. I offer a place where you can better understand what is happening in your relationship. Counselling can help make your relationship more fulfilling, or can help manage your separation and its impact on others if this is the right thing for you.
In the first session, we will discuss and agree how to work together. We will talk a little about what you would like to achieve and what kind of counselling will be most useful - the counselling will be individually tailored to you. Your counselling will start straight away so that you can get a feel for how it is.
I offer flexible appointments which include weekends and evenings. If you prefer, I offer walking therapy outdoors. Sessions can be short-term to focus on a specific concern or longer-term/open-ended allowing more time in a non-judgemental and private environment. Skype or telephone counselling may fit in better with your working pattern or location, or with managing your disability.
