About me
Hello and welcome.
I am passionate about what I do as a counsellor and offer a warm, safe and non-judgmental experience when working with me online.
I work with a range of clients who access counselling for a variety of reasons and provide support for those who are struggling with their mental health, trauma, low mood, self-harm, low self-esteem, change, relationship issues with family, friends and partners, neurodiversity - plus many more.
As a therapist, I work with a selection of theoretical counselling models helping you find the best fit for you and your counselling needs session by session. I am direct, empathetic, warm and genuine in my approach and will play an active role in your sessions (I am not the silent type).
Understanding how difficult it can be to talk and open up about painful feelings and life experiences, which can add to the fear of seeking out therapy - I provide a free, no-obligation, initial telephone consultation, which can be up to 30 minutes to help you find you the support you are looking for.
Please click the 'email me' button above to find out more. I look forward to hearing from you.
What happens next….
After the free telephone consultation, If working with me is the right fit for you. I will invite you to book an initial therapy session so we can talk further about what it is you are seeking support for. I experience this initial session to be very charged with anxiety, which is completely normal, and I do everything I can to make you feel safe and comfortable during this initial meeting. After this, if you would like to continue working with me, we just need to discuss booking you in for further appointments.
Depending on your needs the first few sessions may feel like all you are doing is talking, and sharing your story with me. I am sensitive to the content that comes up in these early sessions as I get to know you and make sure to keep you feeling held throughout our sessions together.
I offer short and long-term therapy. Everyone I work with is different and I will try to accommodate your needs the best I can. Depending on what you are trying to achieve therapy is mainly conducted one hour a week every week but sometimes it can be twice a week, fortnightly or monthly it can all depend on where you are on your therapeutic journey.
As well as my listening ear, I integrate different tools and exercises into my work to aid you through the counselling process such as timeline/vision boarding, inner child work, EFT, safety and stabilisation techniques, and a lot more. My approach is holistic and this can help you strengthen your self-awareness so that you develop the skills you need to live a healthier and happier life.
