I offer counselling and psychoanalytic psychotherapy with people experiencing relationship, family and mental health difficulties. These may include experiences of abuse, anxiety and depression, work related stress, life changes or underlying feelings of sadness or unfulfilled potential.
For problems arising at work, a brief contact of up to six sessions may be appropriate where stress or the management of change can be focused upon.
For the person inquiring a first, longer session, offers the opportunity to explore current difficulties and the background to these to see if counselling or psychotherapy would be useful or if another route towards assistance can be suggested.
I am involved in teaching and clinical supervision in the Scottish Borders and Edinburgh.
