I am a qualified and experienced Relationship Counsellor and Psychosexual Therapist with over 10 years experience and a member of the College of Sex and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) and BACP.
I work with couples and individuals of all ages and sexual orientation regarding a range of issues affecting their relationships including family relationships. Through a supportive and non-judgemental counselling relationship we can work together to help you to gain clarity on the issues you bring. I won't tell you what to do, instead we will talk about what you are experiencing and feeling at this time and work towards identifying the options available to help you to feel less stuck.
The sense of loss and pain triggered by the breakdown of a significant relationship can feel overwhelming. Counselling can help you to manage those emotions and develop strategies to cope.
I can also help couples who are struggling with step parenting where new understanding and agreements need to be shared aloud. Counselling can also be effective in adjusting to life with teenagers.
If it is Psychosexual treatment that is required a full assessment is taken and a programme tailored to the clients needs and particular issue.
I am a member of COSRT and BACP I am bound by their code of ethics and principles of good practice. I undertake Continuous Professional Development as part of the requirement and to enhance my practice. I hold full professional indemnity insurance and possess an enhanced CRB certificate. I also attend regular supervision to ensure that I am practising ethically and in the interests of my clients.
