I offer individual Counselling or Psychotherapy. This is available on either a short or longer term basis, depending on what is required or preferred.
Therapy can help with a number of issues including general depression and anxiety, psychological distress relating to trauma or particular events or improving confidence and getting better prepared for work and life challenges.
When I'm working with clients, I aim to get as full and accurate understanding of the individuals I work with and the things they want to address. I remain sensitive to the fact that different people require different outcomes and bear this in mind in the initial planning of the work and as it proceeds.
Whatever the issue, creating the time and space in which to explore things in greater detail and to become more familiar with the thoughts and feelings that motivate us, can be a real gift. The improved insight and self-knowledge gained from therapy, not only helps to ease the distress of the initial problem but can be helpfully applied to other matters and areas of life.
