JHD Counselling Services Ltd has a number of qualified counsellors working as 1-2-1 counsellors for any member of the general public. It also has qualified and trainee counsellors working in schools and colleges counselling children, parents and staff.
Most of the JHD Counsellors are graduates of JHD Counselling Training Centre or Huntingdonshire Regional College, are insured and adhere to BACP code of ethics.
More experienced counsellors in the team offer workshops/support groups to children, adolescents and adults in a number of areas, helping with a vast range of issues.
A few of the counselling team also work as trainers/tutors at the JHD Counselling training centre offering courses ranging from the Introduction to Counselling right through to diploma level.
The team all work integratively and have different areas of expertise thus making it easier to match the right counsellor with client.
Training, qualifications & experience
Carol Harmston, Senior Counsellor and owner of JHD Counselling services is an experienced psychotherapist, notching up thousands of therapeutic hours. She has worked in private practice for 8 years and also held the following roles - School Counsellor in numerous educational establishments, Senior Counsellor for College of West Anglia, Guidance and Support Manager at a Cambridgeshire Secondary School and Counsellor for Women's Aid and MIND.
In addition Carol is a qualified Secondary School tutor and since qualifying as a counsellor has taught counselling skills for The College of West Anglia, Huntingdonshire Regional College and Hills Road College, Cambridge. Carol is now the centre manager and IV for all the counselling courses at JHD counsellor training centre.

£35 per 50 minute session for adults 1-2-1 counselling
£25 per 40 minute session for children 1-2-1 counselling
£25 per 30 minute session for adults telephone counselling
£40 per 60 minute session for couples
£45 per 60 minute session for families
£45 per 60 minute session for mediation/facilitation
£20 per 2 hour support group
£40 per 2 hour peer group supervision
£50 per 60 minute workshop
Carol offers appointments from home in Haddenham, Ely. Free car parking is offered.
Carol and many JHD counsellors work from head office CPDC Trumpington. Free car parking is available.
