My name is Jemma and I am a fully qualified Integrative counsellor which means that I work from a base of different theoretical approaches. This allows me to practice in a flexible and open way that is unique for every client.I also use mindfulness in my practice for those clients who wish to explore a more holistic approach to coping with whatever is going on for them. I believe passionately that people have the ability to grow and change, no matter how difficult their situation may seem. I provide face to face counselling for both couples and individuals.
Finding the right counsellor for you
Finding the right counsellor can be a daunting process but is fundamental to you getting the most out of the sessions. I therefore offer a free initial twenty minute consultation to allow you time to meet me, see where I am based and generally get a feel for if you think we could work together.
What to expect from our sessions
I provide a welcoming, supportive, confidential and non-judgemental space to enable you to work through issues that are affecting you. My sessions are fifty minutes long allowing you to talk in as much or as little detail as you are comfortable with. My role in our session is to listen and support you in finding the answers or solutions that work for you. For some people counselling is short term and others prefer and benefit from longer term support. I work with both types of client and I am led by what you want.
I have worked extensively with the Criminal Justice System over the past nine years specialising in the field of addiction. Although more recently focusing on other issues ranging from bereavement, anxiety, stress, depression and trauma/abuse.
My fees range between £45 to £55 per 50 minutes session for my one to one clients and £60 to £70 per 90 minutes for couples. I offer concessions where there is need and this can be discussed at our first meeting.
I also offer Discount to students studying counselling.
If you would like to meet with me for a no obligation free consultation please contact me to arrange this, I very much look forward to hearing from you.
