Jenny England MBACP (Accred)
Hello, thank you for visiting my profile page, I am an experienced accredited Integrative Counsellor and Supervisor with over ten years experience. My approach has evolved over many years training drawing on Person Centred, Psycho-dynamic, CBT and Existential theories.
Finding a counsellor or supervisor you feel comfortable with is important, so looking on a website might be the first stage of your search, if you want to know more about how I work feel free to give me a call (without any obligation)
I can offer short term focused work or long term in depth work.
I am available on Mondays for Private Practice alongside my NHS work for The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
As an Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I adhere to their Code of Ethics and conduct.
Counselling offers a confidential place that can enable you to explore a problem or concern increasing your personal awareness. Counselling is about creating a space to talk in confidence and without judgment, with with someone who is fully focused on you and listening to you can give you a chance to work out and clarify which can help you work out what next.
Our modern world involves increasingly more and more ways to communicate and connect with each other, which can be very useful. Yet sometimes, it can seem that although we have many ways to communicate, it can be hard to find the time and space to talk about deeper and more personal worries, concerns or experiences. Counselling is a space where you can take time with a counsellor to explore whats on your mind.
I work holistically with you to draw on your inner resources and strengths and open new possibilities and different ways forward.
In 2003 I set up and developed the new post of Mental Health Coordinator in Swansea University working across Higher Education, NHS and Voluntary sector services to support students of all ages and raise awareness of mental health difficulties.
I went on to train as a counsellor, working in GP Practices and several universities in South Wales, where I also managed a Counselling, Health and Mental Well Being Service.
Before this I worked both in the NHS as a Registered Mental Nurse and for MIND. I have trained and worked using drama and movement therapeutically facilitating workshops for a wide range of groups.
