About me

I offer confidential, integrative counselling for Couples and Individuals. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression are having panic attacks or are needing to talk about relationships, together we can find those inner resources that enable you to grow, heal and move forward. We meet in a calm space overlooking a garden where you can talk about anything you feel you would like to.

About Jenny

From a Person-Centred background, I have now integrated my learning and understanding into one authentic way of counselling, which I feel will allow me to meet with your unique needs. I will listen to what you have to say and help you look at your emotions, your experiences, your thinking, going back to your childhood experiences, (even help you look at your spirituality) should you choose, in order to help you find the inner resources required for well-being.

In addition if meaning and direction are important to you then we can look at the spiritual aspects of your life. My background may be beneficial to those wanting to explore their Christian faith.

Qualifications

I am well qualified; an accredited member of BACP and am well experienced with over 10 years working with clients.

Experience

I volunteered at Lyttleton Well counselling Service in Malvern for many years and am still affiliated to them.

I was the student counsellor at Regents College in Malvern from 2012 to 2017.

I regularly keep up to date with Personal Development attending many refresher and informative workshops/training. In 2018 I was Rewind trained for PTSD.

What They Say

Recently I asked former clients for small sound bites/comments for my website
"Made me think a lot, sometimes about things i did not realise I had in me, very kind and easy to talk to."..GR: February 2020

"Jenny is incredibly skilled in what she does...I have been made very welcome and seen this as a safe place where I can be truthful, happy and open"...NM: October 2019

"I am very grateful to Jenny for providing a judgment free and safe environment for me to say those things that I hadn't dared to say out loud to myself, let alone anyone else. Jenny encouraged me to talk, to explore my thoughts and to consider myself a fascinating human being, one worthy of my own self-care and self-approval for being my own fallible self.!"...R: July 2019

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
