Jennifer Crean Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy, MBACP
Do you need a safe space in which to explore the challenges life has thrown at you?
Do you feel as if you can not move on with your life and feel blocked by the problems you face?
I offer counselling to adults and young people. I am a qualified psychotherapist and specialise in supporting adolescents through the stresses they are experiencing at this phase of their life.
I offer a safe, non-judgemental and therapeutic environment to support you and allow you to come to an understanding about the changes you need to address to reach fulfilment and a new way of life. I am here to provide a confidential and warm environment in which to begin to understand you in a non-judgemental way and ensuring confidentiality. I allow you time and space to explore the issues that have brought you to therapy by understanding who you are and by working together to discover new ways of thinking to make changes that feel right for you.
I became a psychotherapist through a personal experience of bereavement and therapy that set me on my current path. I offer an integrative way of working that includes a person-centred approach, which allows us to develop a relationship based on trust, and also can incorporate other approaches tailored to need.
The issues that I work with include; depression, anxiety, relationships, stress, bereavement, family conflict, trauma, anger, work and school related problems and attachment issues.
I am also able to support children with emotional and communication difficulties, using play therapy and other creative interventions, by utilising my knowledge of Special Educational Needs within the education field.
An integral part of my practice is to introduce mindfulness techniques into the sessions, if relevant and appropriate to the issues being presented.
