Jenna Robinson , MBACP, Dip Integ Therapeutic Psychotherapist/Counsellor
Sometimes life can be challenging and we struggle to make sense of it, we question ourselves, others, our past and our future. These thoughts can often become debilitating as we find ourselves in a negative cycle. We can begin to feel hopeless, worthless and alone. It can help to talk about these thoughts and feelings, counselling enables you to talk to someone confidentiality without judgement.
From counselling you will build a relationship with your therapist where you can feel listened to, understood and accepted. Therapy strives to empower you to find your inner strengths and capabilities to help you develop your self acceptance, self love and gain new perspectives in order to feel confident to make changes.
I offer counselling to both adults and teenagers having worked in a private agencies and educational settings. I have extensive experience working within Children’s Services supporting both children and their parents.
I treat clients who are experiencing depression, stress, , thought disorders, low self-confidence and de-motivation anxiety, loss, bereavement, self-harm, disorded eating, relationship difficulties, separation/divorce, sleeping, suicidal thoughts, exam pressures, family or peer relationships, career decisions as well as offering family mediation and restorative practice.
We can work together for as long or as short as you wish, I offer both short-term goal focused therapy as well as longer-term therapy which will explore your life in more depth. I am a member of the BACP and work according their Ethical Framework, I also undergo regular supervision.
Everyone experiences the world differently and therefore I will adapt my therapy to your needs, I am an integrative counsellor which means I incorporate a number of approaches such as Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychodynamic. I practice in both Teddington and Richmond.
