Jeanne de Senarclens
City Psychotherapy Service
64 Great Eastern Street
Hello, my name is Jeanne and I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor with more than ten years of clinical experiences both in private and public sectors. I work in a busy private group practice near Old Street, the City of London, Hackney and Tower Hamlets. I am accredited with the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy). I am also a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and I am registered with BUPA, WPA, Aviva and PruHealth. I am bilingual and can work both in English and French.
My training in psychotherapy has been integrative which means that I have learned different styles of therapy (mainly psychodynamic, humanistic and solutions focused) and I can adapt to your particular needs. I can work both short or long-term depending on what is suitable.
I believe in an open and honest discussion and I think it is important that you feel confident and comfortable within the therapeutic interactions. I usually offer an initial session where we can meet and see how we get on. You can also see how I work, and we can then decide how to pursue.
Generally, psychotherapy and counselling can help with issues such as:
- Depression, suicidal feelings and loss
- Anxiety, worry, stress and panic attacks
- Relationship difficulties and sexual problems
- Problems with identity, self-esteem, feelings of emptiness and loneliness
- Difficulties with professional or educational achievements, direction in life
- Addiction, self-harm, eating disorders
- Cultural and identity issues
- Issues related to migration
Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you want to discuss this further.
