4 Meavy Way
My background is in the nursing profession. I became interested in Therapy during my Mental health nurse training. It was here that I began to develop the ability to help people who are distressed or who are struggling with certain problems and helping them change. Fundamental to all therapy is the therapeutic relationship. Developing trust, empathy and regard is paramount. One of my therapeutic skills is to be able to put people at ease, which of course, helps this process.
I provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapies. Both CBT and EMDR have been clinically proven to be effective for a wide range of problems. They are the treatment of choice by NICE for many conditions such as anxiety, panic, depression and of course trauma.
I would be happy to discuss whether either therapy could be beneficial for your problem and to this end, I offer a free 15 minute telephone discussion.
