About me

Everyone feels overwhelmed or troubled at some point in their lives. It may feel like this is a strange or a new experience, or it may be an all too familiar destructive pattern.

I am an experienced therapist offering brief or long-term face-to-face counselling.

You may prefer short-term therapy (normally up to six sessions) that focuses on a specific aspect of your life or provides support during a crisis or major life event. Longer term therapy helps you address recurrent patterns of distress.

You may know what you want to address or you may have only a vague sense of what feels wrong. You may be feeling lost or desperate or just wish to continue your journey of self-awareness.

Psychotherapy can be a source of support and comfort while you make sense of these issues. With a willingness to understand your current situation and what brings you to therapy, we can try to trace the source of your distress and we can attempt to heal that hurt together. Psychotherapy can help people change and enables you to find your own solutions.

My aim is always to support you to make sense of your life in a way that leads to a renewed sense of hope.

My approach is based on an integrative perspective which means I draw on DSC_9194.JPGmany different theoretical approaches. My work is tailored to each individual. You dictate the speed and methods of working. As well as talking therapy, I may include other helpful methods such as Cognitive Behavioural therapy techniques, image and artwork or exploration of dreams. I provide a safe, non-judgemental and welcoming environment in which to explore the issues that are troubling you.
