Hello and thank you for reading my profile. If you've got this far then you've taken the first step to creating a happier, more fulfilling life. If you're thinking - is counselling right for me? Then please be reassured you're not alone. Take a few moments to read about me then use either the numbers above or email to text, telephone or email me. I promise to respond within a few hours. I can offer you a free half an hour to find out whether counselling is indeed right for you with no obligation to continue.
A little about me - my name is Jane Davies and I am a qualified and experienced local counsellor, committed to providing a safe, confidential space for you to explore your difficulties and anxieties. It is not uncommon for you to experience difficult times in your life, whether it be through bereavement, stress, divorce/relationship breakdown or redundancy. During these times, talking things through with a professional, neutral person may help. I can provide a warm, welcoming environment where you can be sure of being treated with kindness and empathy.
Sometimes all that is required is to be "heard" and that is what I can do for you. I can also help you find some peace by teaching you some mindfulness techniques which may help you see things more clearly and sleep better.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am fully qualified with a Certificate and Diploma in Counselling. I am experienced in working with all manner of life's challenges, including anxiety and depression, eating disorders, divorce and separation, loss and bereavement, anger management, addictions and phobias. I am experienced in teaching mindfulness.
I have experience of working with eating disorders (obesity). I have additional training gained from Professor Julia Buckroyd on her renowned "Understanding your Eating" programme which helps to free you from the miseries of yoyo dieting and to understand your past and present eating patterns.
