Profile

I have gained experience working with people dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, phobias, bereavement, low self esteem, relationship issues including family breakdown and the long term impact of past events.

I work in a warm, non-judgemental way to create a safe space in which clients can explore issues that are impacting on their lives in negative ways. Through the counselling process I aim to help the client work towards resolution of these issues in an enduring way.

I work with adults and in the last year have been working in a local independent school with children up to the age of 13 years.

Further Information

In my work with children and teenagers I use play based interventions as this is a much more appropriate and effective way to work with this age group. Sometimes I find that creative interventions with adult clients can equally produce interesting results and insights.
