Profile

Throughout our work, I will support you while we focus on the difficulties that have brought you to Counselling.  I have gained an understanding of lifes challenges and difficulties through personal experience and understand the value of having some help and support when life becomes difficult.

Whether its experiencing a loss or bereavement, feelings of unhappiness, anxiety, or general life dissatisfaction. our work together will be confidential and will provide space in which you can freely discuss and explore the difficulties that bring you to Counselling.

Our relationship is an important part of the therapeutic process, as an Integrative Counsellor I will work with you by drawing from a selection of Counselling approaches. Our work will be tailored to your needs and desired outcome of your Therapy.

I regularly attend further training and workshops, some of those attended included working with Dissociative Disorders, Body Trauma,Bereavement,  Depression and Attachment.

Prior to, during and after my training, I worked as a Welfare Officer in Higher Education. My role was to support young people who were experiencing difficulties such as Relationship, Sexuality, Loss, Separation Anxiety, Bereavement and Identity.

I have also worked within an agency setting - Listening Post Counselling Service - and I currently Counsel Clients and Staff of a local charity working with many issues including Loss, Trauma, Abuse, Bereavement, Identity and adapting to change.
