It may be that you are dissatisfied or unfulfilled with your life, or you may be struggling with a specific problem. Perhaps you are feeling stressed or depressed, or in a crisis and need to talk to someone.
As a qualified and experienced counsellor, I can offer professional support and help with any of these issues.
I believe that given the right conditions, people have the potential to make positive change.
Counselling offers a safe and confidential relationship in which you can explore your problems and help you make that change.
I am a warm, genuine counsellor, who will treat you with respect and non-judgement. I see my task as a counsellor to help you gain insight and understanding about your situation and help you find new ways to resolve the problem or crisis you may be experiencing.
I work with an Integrative Humanistic approach. I am trained to work using Person Centred, TA and Gestalt approaches. I am also a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. I also work with Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. (MBCT). My training and experience means I can fit my approach to suit the individual needs of my clients.
I have been in private practice for over 5 years and this is based in Southbourne, Bournemouth.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP number 658960) and I adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
I offer individual face-to-face counselling for short-term and long-term work.
I also work with couples to help them find ways to overcome the problems they may be experiencing in their relationship.
Please give me a call or email me if you have any questions.
