About me

I provide a space of complete privacy to talk about difficulties and concerns such as; depression, anxiety, low self esteem, panic attacks, stress, relationship problems etc. with a specialism in eating disorders.

You may look to embark on psychotherapy/counselling in order to seek help with a particular problem or symptom, or wish to explore your life more comprehensively in the hope of achieving greater peace of mind, enhance creativity and joy, or to improve relationships both at home and at work.

Within the therapy process we look at familiar patterns of behaviour alongside present and past experiences to identify, understand and make meaning of what lies at the root of the problem you bring. Ultimately this enables news ways for personal and interpersonal change, greater stability and a calmer state of mind.

In an initial consultation we will discuss your needs and wishes to offer the best approach for you and your situation.

If you'd like to ask any questions about counselling please send me your contact details and I'll arrange to call you.

Training, qualifications & experience

Formerly involved in teaching and working with physical health I recognised conflicting attitudes, fears and repressed feelings directly influence the body and how we function. My approach now works as one, to understand the Mind-Body connection, appreciating unacknowledged body trauma can damage the mind-body relationship and our relationships with others. Our quality of life generally means integrating the body, emotions, mind and spiritual elements to empower and improve overall health and well-being.

My knowledge and skills draw primarily from my Psychotherapy Transactional Analysis qualification combined with other integrative and relational therapeutic methods, alongside the Yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation skills acquired throughout my 20+ years of practice.

My experience includes working in private and voluntary settings. I am a fully accredited UKCP Adult Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, qualified Yoga teacher and Mindfulness Meditation Practitioner.  I hold a full disclosure certificate to work with vulnerable people.
