Healthy Vue Therapy, James Penney, (NCS Accredited Registrant Member)
20 Hamble Lane
Welcome. Thank you for taking the time to read my page. I operate a Counselling and Psychotherapy service from an established health clinic in Southampton. I work in an Integrative way – which basically means we can tailor our work together to best suit your needs.
It can be very difficult to decide who to choose when looking for a therapist, so I will say this. Finding the right therapist is like trying on a new shoe – it must be the right fit. I extend to you a warm welcome and invite you to get in touch.
Once you have contacted me, which I know can be quite daunting when you don't know someone, we will have a brief chat about when we can book an initial assessment.
The initial assessment is face-to-face and is an opportunity for you to talk about what you would like to get from therapy and what, in particular, has led to you looking for a therapist. There will be a few questions about your circumstances but really it’s an opportunity to meet and see how you feel. After that, we can decide if we can continue working together - keeping your best interests at the heart of what we do.
I hope that what you have read puts you at ease and I look forward to hearing from you very soon.
If I am not available on the phone when you call then please feel free to leave a message on my confidential answering machine and I will return your call as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can send me an email.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am professionally qualified and as my profile states I am a fully accredited registrant member of the National Counselling Society. I have over 10 years experience of working with people in a variety of supportive roles.
I am a great believer that given the right therapeutic environment and working with someone who is empathetic and non-judgmental, you have the amazing opportunity to better understand yourself and work towards bringing about positive life changes.
