I offer psychotherapy and counselling to individuals and couples; heterosexual, gay and lesbian.
In the past five years my practice has developed to include energy therapy and working with couples. The energy aspect of my psychotherapy practice has developed from trainings with Advanced Integrative Therapy and Psychoanalytic Energy Therapy. My work with couples is based on Imago Couple Therapy.
Using Energy Therapy my impression is that I have been able to help clients in months, or one or two years, to gain benefits that would have taken much longer in my previous practice. I have helped clients unpack and clear the disabling effects of traumas and together achieve for them, more than my clients or I believed possible with more conventional talk therapy. Energy therapy can also be used to treat the psychological and spiritual origins of physiological symptoms with great effect.
In common with all colleagues in the psychoanalytic field my learning and development as a practitioner is driven by my personal needs for understanding, healing and growth. This combines with reading, consultation with colleagues and learning from others in the constant flow of this developing field. I also teach and supervise.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor. I trained originally at the London Centre for Psychotherapy 1979 - 1983. In 1991 with my colleague Shirley Wheeley I created chaired the Training in Jungian Analytical Psychotherapy at the West Midlands Institute for Psychotherapy.
I am a Jungian therapist , I have also been very interested in relational psychoanalysis and more recently trained extensively in Advanced Integrative Therapy and Psychoanalytic Energy Therapy. I am a Certified AIT Practitioner. I have also trained in EFT and TFT.
I am an experience couples therapist and am currently enjoying further training in Imago Couple Therapy.

Fees
For individuals my current fees are £63 for 50 minutes and £94 for one hour and twenty minutes. For couples the current fee is £120 for one hour and twenty minutes.
I am prepared to discuss reductions in fees when this is needed. Once a year I increase my fee in consultation with my clients in relation to the rise in the cost of living in the previous year
