Jale Apicella Psychotherapist & Hypnotherapist MNCS, MNHS (Accred)
As an integrative therapist I believe that therapy is at its most effective when it is tailored to a client's personality and needs. I like to work using a person centred approach as my base method, drawing on differing theories and approaches to counselling to suit the individual needs of my clients.
I have experience of working with a wide range of issues. I am not keen on 'labels' and will happily discuss whatever it is you wish to bring to the initial consultation. This could be about the past, depression, anxiety, loss, relationship difficulties, how you feel about yourself, in fact anything that you would like to explore in a safe and supportive space. We can then decide jointly if working together will be helpful for you at this time.
I work from a safe environment, and offer you the opportunity in which to explore your presenting problems. My aim is to help you recognise your own personal power, and to then go on to develop and achieve your goals.
Regular sessions will give you the opportunity to reflect, and talk about how you feel, not just about yourself, but about those around you. It will also allow you the space to look at what is happening in your life at present and what has happened in the past. If we need to, together we can look and explore the affects of the past, and how it has an impact on the present, and how you are feeling, thinking and behaving right now.
I am also a qualified hypnotherapist and can work using a blend of both these therapies if you prefer.
I offer long-term, open-ended counselling, as well as short term work.
I run a home based counselling & hypnotherapy practice and offer a calm, comfortable, peaceful and safe environment for the therapy process to take place.
Please feel free to contact me for an informal chat to discuss if you think counselling can help you. *I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation.
