I am a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and Chartered with the British Psychological Society. I work both in the NHS, at Great Ormond Street Hospital and in private practice for MindSense Psychology Services. We are an independent psychology service, based in Wimbledon, providing confidential, timely and effective psychological support. I offer expert assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and families across a wide range of developmental, emotional and behavioural difficulties. I also provide expert assessment and treatment of adults with a range of psychological difficulties that result from the pressures and daily demands of life, such as stress, depression and anxiety.
Also available is our parent consultation service, providing advice and practical strategies to help with common but often challenging aspects of parenting. I provide a flexible approach to suit your needs, including face to face, Skype and telephone sessions.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed my Post Graduate Diploma in Interpersonal Psychotherapy at University College London and my Clinical Psychology Doctorate at Salomons, Canterbury Christchurch University. I have over ten years of experience working with a range of psychological difficulties, working in schools, child and adult mental health services, inpatient units, learning disability, brain injury clinics and national specialist treatment services.
I provide an integrative approach to assessment, formulation and treatment planning, providing evidence-based approaches to suit individual needs. I have full accreditation in providing Interpersonal Psychotherapy for adolescents suffering from depression. I offer behavioural treatments for the management of tics and Tourette Syndrome. I am also trained in and qualified to provide Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), systemic, narrative, psychodynamic and mindfulness-based approaches. I have extensive experience of offering these treatment approaches to adults, couples, children, including looked-after and adopted children, and their families, as well as to groups. I also have experience and a keen interest in cognitive and neuropsychological testing.
Through my training and experience I have helped people cope with a wide range of difficulties including, anxiety, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anger, work-related stress, bereavement, relationship difficulties, bullying, low self-esteem, childhood trauma, autism and ADHD. I take a flexible approach, drawing upon a range of models to suit individuals’ needs, working collaboratively toward client-led goals and aspirations.
