My services are available to individuals and couples as well as Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) and Corporate clients. I have extensive experience in the fields of Healthcare. Trade Union and Student Support Services.

I offer both face to face and telephone counselling sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

Having trained some 30 years ago in Person-Centred Counselling, I went on to qualify in Gestalt and Transactional Analysis before moving into Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in 1998.

I gained an MA in CBT in 2004 which served to complement my Social Work (CQSW) and MSc in Social Sciences.

I am a fully BABCP accredited CBT Therapist specialising in :

depression; anxiety disorder; OCD and phobia work; drug and alcohol misuse; self-harming behaviour; emotional and behavioural problems; sleep disorder; health anxiety and social phobia plus LGBT issues. I also specialise in working with people on the spectrum in particular Asperger's - from age 6 years upwards. I offer couple counselling and family therapy.

Further information

I believe that if anybody is helped to gain the right tools, it can make a significant difference to the quality of life. Why I love CBT so much is because it's collaborative, it's a joint venture, where I will learn as much from the person I'm working with as they might learn from me.
