Jacqui Anslow, BA(Hons) in Integrative Counselling, UKCP reg.
I have been described as "professional and friendly" so if that's important to you read on. My style of counselling is about providing a safe place for an individual or couple to explore the isssue(s) that have led them to be looking at this directory. I particularly like seeing people empowered to live more satsfying lives. Having said that I believe that this takes time and patience. It is a different 'journey' for each individual and my integrative training enables me to respond to people as individuals using my skills and knowledge to suit them.
I have a website that you can look at to find out more about me at www.jacquianslowcounselling.co.uk
You are welcome to email me or phone to make an initial appointment. This first appointment would be an 'assessment' (which means we can 'assess' each other). It is an opportunity to briefly look at why you would like counselling, what you would like to achieve through counselling and to ask me any questions about counselling. We would also draw up a counselling contract to set out clear boundaries about confidentiality, payment and some other practicalities. I do charge for assessments (£15 for individuals and £20 for a couple) and hope that the hour I give you would be valuable whether or not you go on to book further appointments.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a registered member of UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy). I have a BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling following on from a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and a Diploma in Sociology (OU). I have over 850 hours of recent experience with further experience from 18 years ago when I did my initial counselling training. During the intervening years I worked for a large charity working with the public and as part of a management team. My work has always revolved around people, giving me a wealth of experience of not only my own life but also of others.
