Reflective Solutions Counselling At Bay Therapies
112 Marlborough Road
I am a fully qualified counsellor and a Registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) offering short or long term counselling to individuals (18+) on a one-to-one basis from private therapy rooms in the Swansea area.
People seek counselling or psychotherapy for a wide range of issues from feeling unhappy or confused, to looking to find a way to cope with the loss of a relationship or bereavement. Often they feel stuck and struggle to face their difficulties alone.
Counselling offers a space to explore the issues that cause us difficulty in an environment that is safe, friendly, supportive and non-judgemental. It provides an opportunity to reflect on thoughts, feelings or behaviours that are causing difficulty to gain understanding, enabling us to explore new perspectives and choices, and find a way forward.
With so many different types of therapy available, it can be daunting to know which one to choose. The Humanistic Approach to counselling forms the basis of my approach. This approach works with you as an individual, focusing on the issues you consider most important, seeking to understand your unique way of perceiving the world. Exploring thoughts, feelings and different perspectives can enable you to discover your own resources which can facilitate change and an increased sense of well-being. Through my commitment to Continuing Professional Development I am able to incorporate others ways of working, if required.
