I am a qualified and accredited counsellor/Psycotherpist that has trained at Degree level, I have an established private practice and a full member of the BACP. I am also a qualified supervisor and offer my services supervising qualified and trainee counsellors.
I have 14 years experience working with issues around addiction, Relationship issues, affairs and betrayals, family issues, Anxiety, Depression, domestic violence, bereavement, abuse, self esteem etc and work with all ages, cultures and gender, I also offer couple counselling. I offer a non judgmental service and adhere to the BACP code of ethics. I offer empathy, honesty and unconditional positive regard, being aware of individuality, working towards Equality and Diversity at all times.
I believe change is possible, I am passionate in supporting others to reach their potential, building trust in the counselling relationship encourages risks to be taken to explore issues that are affecting quality of life, counselling enables exploration of behaviours and builds self awareness to enable a better quality of life, enhancing self esteem and confidence.
Taking risks and reaching out asking for support can be difficult and at times we may all need support in exploring a difficult issue, it is a strength to access support not a weakness this enables the person to not feel alone in a difficult situation. You are always the expert of your own experiences, I am facilitating an environment of safety and with the right conditions present such as a non judge mental attitude to support and encourage empowering self and exploring autonomy, change is possible. I provide Humanistic counselling, however I am able to work with the individual, where other theories may be more appropriate, such as CBT. I am qualified in Holistic treatments such as an Auricular Acupuncturist specialist and Masters in Reiki, I am experienced and highly qualifiield in working with most issues, if I am unable to help you, I will direct you in the right area.
I offer a warm, friendly and safe environment, I believe self belief is everything this enhances strength within and promotes growth. If you would like further information, please contact me for a brief chat.
