Jackie Mardle MBACP, BACP Registered/Accredited. Couple's/ Individual Counsellor
Are you suffering from anxiety, depression or relationship issues?
Are you looking for somebody to talk to who will help you to make sense of current difficulties? You are not alone. Maybe you have been caught up in this busy world and not had the space to pause and reflect on how you are feeling.
I am an experienced counsellor who has been working with couples and individuals for the past 12 years.I have worked with clients experiencing a wide range of difficulties including relationship problems, loss, addiction, depression and anxiety.
"How counselling can help"
At certain times in our lives we may all experience problems that mean we find it difficult to cope; we may experience feelings such as stress, anxiety and low mood which can become overwhelming and confusing. In this situation it may be helpful to talk to a professional.
It may feel challenging to take this first step, but often people have reported feeling a sense of relief, moving forward feeling supported, rather than feeling stuck.
You may be looking to change the way you respond to certain situations and therefore change areas of your life that are not working well for you. I offer a safe, non judgemental and confidential space to explore what has brought you to seek help. I provide a personalised and flexible approach, which ensures I offer counselling based on your needs as an individual.
The counselling approach I offer, involves exploring the past in order to be able to make sense of the problem and to understand your feelings and responses in the here and now; enabling you to make positive changes in the future.
"What to expect from your first session"
We will meet to talk about what has brought you to counselling. This is your opportunity to ask any questions that you may have and for us to agree together on the way forward.
Whether in the short term, or over a longer period of time, we can explore why you are seeking counselling at this point in your life and what change is possible, while supporting your well being.
I currently work in the NHS working with couples and individuals.
I welcome telephone enquiries where we can discuss any initial questions you may have.
