My name is Ivan Kelvie and I have been a practising CBT Counsellor in Coventry since December 2011. I would like to thank you for taking the time to check out my profile. I offer an opportunity for you to explore your feelings and difficulties in a safe, warm, friendly and confidential environment. I work and understand in a non-judgmental way. I am an integrative counsellor using cognitive therapy and person centred counselling. I work with individual adults on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully.

Certificate in Transactional Analysis, 2014; BA Hons in Counselling, 2014; Foundation Degree in CBT, 2013;
Currently studying a MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy
I have been a practising CBT Counsellor in Coventry & Warwickshire since December 2011. I work with individual adults on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully.
I am currently studying to become a psychotherapist and work "integratively" i.e. not limiting my approach to one school of therapy. This ensures that my approach is unique for each client. My various qualifications coupled with recent past experience of working as a Counsellor in the City of Coventry enables me to work with clients in an innovative and creative fashion.
I am also working in partnership with the 'Lighthouse Christian Care Ministry'. I am an experienced Counsellor offering my counselling services ranging from various mental health issues from all ethnically, cultural, backgrounds, empowering equality, diversity and exclusivity treatment following BACP ethical framework for good practice in counselling.
Furthermore, I have volunteered in Africa in a school offering my counselling skills.

The Assessment Session
This is not a Counselling session, instead it is an initial meeting where we can both get a sense of each other. We will be outlining a contract together. I will be gathering some information about your present day situation, and discuss ways we might work together.
The Assessment sessions is £35.00 Lasting 1 hour.
Payment and Cancellation
The cost for all my sessions reflects the cost of Room Hire, Professional Membership and Continuation in Professional Development, Supervision, Public Liability Insurance and Writing up notes.
Payment: Cash payment only at the beginning of each session or can be paid in blocks
Cancellation: The Full Fee may be charged for cancellations less than 24 hour's notice
Insurance: I hold Professional Civil Liability Insurance for all my work as a Counsellor
Counselling offers support, it can help with problem solving; help identifying individual needs by promoting self awareness, in order to acquaint our mindset to help with recovery process, and with all previous or new strategies for living.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is an Active-Directive, collaborative approach to dealing with emotional and physical. CBT counselling is structured and goal orientated. It Works with thoughts, feelings and behaviours additionally it looks at ways of coping with thoughts and behaviours.
