Welcome to Danby Counselling. I offer a free 50 minute, no obligation session to enable you to decide whether working together would be beneficial to you.  I provide a safe, warm, non-judgemental and confidential environment for you to explore and move through any painful and damaging issues that may affect your life, your relationships and the way you live it.

Talking to a Counsellor helps us to look beyond our presenting problems to possible underlying causes. The aim of the therapeutic process is to enable us to acheive a better understanding and acceptance of ourrselves. 

Sessions are 50 minutes long and my approach is humanistic.  This means that I believe every person is unique and individual, with their own way of seeing and experiencing the world; I also believe that within each of us, is the capacity to understand and accept our difficulties and find ways of moving on, fulfilling our potential.  I adhere to the ethical framework of the BACP.

Sessions take place in the safe enviroment of Brune Medical Centre in Gosport, which offers free parking.  I will also consider seeing you in your own home or telephone counselling if leaving the house is difficult for you.

At our initial session we can discuss your goals and expections and how the sessions will proceed.  I will also inform you about my policy on confidentiality, fees, appointment times and cancellations of appointments.
