About us

Hope Therapy & Counselling Services are dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate mental health and wellbeing support to individuals, couples, and families. Our team of experienced and qualified counsellors & therapists are committed to helping clients navigate life's challenges and achieve personal growth and well-being.

Services Offered

One-to-One Counselling: Our dedicated team of counsellors & therapists provides individualised, one-to-one counselling sessions that offer a safe and confidential space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges. Whether dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship challenges or personal growth, our counsellors & therapists work collaboratively to help clients gain insights, develop coping strategies, and achieve their therapeutic goals.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Our CBT specialists are trained to guide clients through evidence-based techniques that target the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Through structured sessions, clients learn to identify negative thought patterns and develop healthier alternatives, enabling them to manage emotional difficulties and create lasting positive change.

Couples Counselling: Our couples counselling services focus on strengthening relationships by fostering effective communication, empathy, and mutual understanding. Experienced therapists assist couples in navigating conflicts, resolving issues, and enhancing intimacy. Providing a supportive environment empowers couples to work together toward a more harmonious and fulfilling partnership.

Family Therapy: Family dynamics can be complex, and our skilled family therapists help facilitate open and honest communication within families. We guide families toward healthier relationships and more supportive connections by addressing conflicts, improving problem-solving skills, and promoting cohesion.

Hypnotherapy: Our hypnotherapy sessions are conducted by qualified professionals who use guided relaxation techniques to help clients access their subconscious mind. Hypnotherapy can be beneficial for managing stress, overcoming phobias, enhancing self-esteem, and even supporting habit change, providing a unique and effective approach to personal growth.

Mindfulness: Mindfulness practices can be integrated into our therapeutic approach, teaching clients how to be present in the moment and cultivate self-awareness. Clients learn to manage stress, reduce anxiety, and improve emotional regulation through mindfulness. Our therapists guide clients in developing mindfulness skills that can be applied to daily life.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR): EMDR is a specialised technique designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. Our qualified EMDR therapists guide clients through a structured process involving bilateral stimulation, enabling them to reprocess traumatic memories and reduce the emotional distress associated with them.

Online Counselling & Therapy: We understand the importance of accessibility and offer online counselling services to accommodate clients who prefer remote sessions or have logistical constraints. Our secure and confidential online platform ensures that clients can receive the same high-quality care and therapeutic support as in-person sessions from the comfort of their own space.

At Hope Therapy & Counselling Services, our comprehensive range of services reflects our commitment to addressing the diverse needs of our clients. Each service is tailored to provide effective and personalised support on the journey toward improved mental and emotional well-being.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration.
