I am an ADHD Adult specialist and also work extensively with anxiety and depression, relationships and life transitions. I have been practising for over 30 years and offer services in English, French, and Spanish. Sessions are held both face to face and online with individuals, couples, and families. I offer short term and longer term treatment. I also offer Coaching for Work related issues, Parenting, and Goal setting.
I believe in an individualized approach which includes an integration of a variety of therapies. There is not just one way of approaching everyone. Emphasis is placed on client strengths and one's problems are viewed as life's challenges that call for new and innovative solutions. Fostering an empathic trustworthy relationship is paramount as well as maintaining full confidentiality. We work in partnership and the therapist is a facilitator of that growth.according to the person's needs.
Before our initial consultation, I will have a brief intake telephone conversation with you at which time we discuss your main reason for contacting me, my office location and schedule, as well as fees and insurance information.
Sessions generally take place in my office but I also frequently offer telephone or Skype sessions for clients who travel often or cannot easily access my offices.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by its code of ethics. I am also fully licensed in the USA and Netherlands. My formal training was acquired in the USA, I lived for 11 years in the Netherlands, and have now opened a private practice in London.
I believe that for me to offer the highest quality service to my clients, it is important to attend conferences on a regular basis. As an ADHD specialist, I am in constant contact with new developments in the USA and Europe through international conferences and associations. I share the latest developments with clients when appropriate or useful and recommend guided reading.

Does ADHD really exist?
Reports of fidgety children can be traced back at least as far as 1798 when Alexander Chrichton described a state reminiscent of the subtype of ADHD.
We have come a long way since then.
It has been discovered that ADHD often runs in families and that there are several types; the inattentive, hyperactive, and impulsive type.
Areas that are often affected are included in executive functioning: organizing, prioritizing, focusing, regulating alertness, managing frustration, and modulating emotions.
