As a BACP Registered Counsellor, I offer a professional service for adults and young people in private practice.
I have particular experience of helping with:
- loss and bereavement (past or present)
- relationship issues and difficulties
- affairs / betrayals
- young people (17+)
- self harm
- low self-confidence / low self-esteem
- anger management
- family issues
Of special interest to me is the psychology of attachment, early trauma, the role of loss and how these may impact upon the present.
I have several years experience working for the NHS Let’s Talk and Cruse Bereavement Care services in addition to private practice. I also spent a year in a secondary school working with young people aged 16+.
I can offer short, brief and focused work over a few sessions, or can work over a longer period depending on your needs and preferences. We can discuss what might be most useful to you over the telephone or at an initial exploratory session.
What to expect if you contact me:
I provide an empathetic, warm and accepting environment where you can explore your concerns confidentially, feel valued and over time experience improved confidence. I offer a professional and skilled service whilst remaining approachable.
We can work flexibly depending on your needs and we will agree on the goals and focus of our work together, for example, some clients prefer a more practical, solution focussed approach and others require more space to reflect on difficult experiences and emotions.
Please contact me by phone or email if you are interested in exploring whether counselling can help you and whether you would like to work with me. If I am not the right person for you to see, then I will endeavour to point you in the right direction.
