I have over ten years experience working with individuals experiencing psychological difficulties. My aim is to reduce distress and to enhance and promote psychological wellbeing. My approach is integrative and aims to work collaboratively with you in order to address your difficulties and find solutions. I work with a range of techniques, drawing primarily on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches and compassion focused therapy (CFT).
I aim to offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space in which you feel enabled to express your difficulties. I work with clients across the lifespan experiencing a range of issues, including work stress, anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, change, loss, and adjustment to physical illness.
I offer appointments on Mondays and Fridays daytime and evenings, and Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings only. I work from two locations with dedicated consulting rooms in Brighton, both with good transport links.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed an undergraduate degree in psychology at the Nottingham Trent University before working in a variety of NHS and voluntary sector settings including occupational health, pain management, and acute psychiatric services. I undertook doctoral clinical psychology training at Surrey University, before going on to work in the NHS specialising in adult mental health. I currently work as a Senior Clinical Psychologist in the NHS as well as in the private and corporate sectors. I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the British Psychological Society and regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council.
