Hello and thank you for looking at my profile
My name is Helen and I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor passionate about supporting women and increasing their access to counselling. There is a growing recognition that the stresses women experience can affect their physical, mental and emotional well-being. Women are more likely than men to be diagnosed as suffering from depression and almost twice as likely to suffer from anxiety and post traumatic stress disorders. This I believe highlights the importance of providing a bespoke service for women.
My telephone counselling practice offers women a safe, non-judgemental space where they will feel comfortable in opening up about their difficulties and supported in their quest for growth, understanding and meaningful change. All you need to access my service is a quiet private space and a telephone.
Some of the benefits of telephone counselling:
- Anonymity and discretion
- It can help you speak more freely and feel more comfortable
- A combination of accessibility and convenience
- Elimination of special childcare (or other care) arrangements
- Accessibility to those who are housebound, isolated or disabled
- Flexibility for women with busy and demanding lives.
Choosing the right type of counselling medium and therapist is important. So if you have any questions about telephone counselling, the way I work and or how I can help you, please feel free to contact me. I am contactable via email, telephone or text. For further information you can also visit my website by clicking the link at the top of my profile.
