Profile

Hello and thank you for visiting my profile. I am an experienced, fully qualified and insured Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).  I work both from my home near Solihull and from The Sanctuary Centre in Castle Vale with clients on a one-to-one basis for either short or long-term counselling.

I offer warmth and acceptance in a safe space for clients to work through their emotional distress and help them unravel and make sense of their feelings and then work towards breaking down the blocks in the way to achieving greater fulfilment, self-acceptance and happiness.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

My Diploma was in Integrative Counselling delivered from a strong Person-Centred core.  It incorporated other counselling approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Art Therapy and Play Therapy and I feel I am able to adapt my way of working to suit the individual needs of my clients. 

I have been working as a Counsellor for 9 years both in the Voluntary and Statutory Sectors and have also been in Private Practice for the past 5 years, having gained over 2,000 one-to-one client hours.

Fees

My charges are £28.00 to £35.00 an hour (dependent upon the venue - room hire fee), however I do offer concessionary rates to students of £24.00 an hour.
