About me

I am a qualified Counsellor holding a Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling recognised by the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).

My approach is underpinned by Person Centred theory, whereby I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and make changes within themselves. Counselling provides you with an opportunity to help process your thoughts and feelings in a caring, safe, non judgemental and confidential environment.

Whatever the situation take your first step to talk through what is troubling you. You are the expert in what you need to move forward, I am here to support you.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

Currently, I work at a Charity in Hastings as a Counsellor for Survivors of Suicide, Sexual Abuse Referral Centre (SARC) Counsellor and as an Assessor. I also have my own private practice in Eastbourne Town, central to all local amenities and has parking nearby.

My other qualifications are:

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN),
  • Registered Sick Childrens Nurse (RSCN)
  • Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN).

Having previously worked in the NHS for 26 years, I have gained much experience and knowledge whilst working with families and individuals of different cultures and backgrounds, who were going through various emotional difficulties such as Postnatal depression, pregnancy loss and infant prematurity.

I also offer support and counselling to those who have suicide ideation, anxiety and depression and those having relationship difficulties.

My most recent Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training has enabled me to become a counsellor for the Sexual Abuse Referral Centre (SARC) for pre-trial therapy.

I receive on going monthly Supervision to ensure safe practice for my clients and myself.
