Heidi Mellonie Registered MBACP
When you feel stuck, lost, or in crisis, counselling can help you see the way ahead and make sense of your experiences.
I am a qualified Therapeutic Counsellor registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP Registration number 178448). As a Humanistic Counsellor I hold the person-centred therapeutic approach and ethos central to my practice, every individual is unique and counselling is tailored to each individual. In every session I aim to provide a warm, safe, confidential and non judgemental space in which individuals are able to work through and explore their concerns at their own pace.
My counselling experience includes both short and long term counselling contracts working with both young people and adults who bring to counselling a variety of concerns. Appointments are available face to face, throughout the week or online via skype. I work from practice rooms in Bedford Town Centre on Mondays and Rushden Town Centre on Wednesdays. Parking is available for both locations.

When appointments have been arranged it is the client’s responsibility to keep them, please note that I will require 24 hours notice of cancellation or I regret that charges are applied. I will endeavour to notify you well in advance of any personal leave in respect of sessions booked.
In my practice I offer an initial assessment session (priced at a lower rate) for clients to assess whether counselling if for them and for clients to explore what their hopes and motivations are for their therapy. As a Person Centred/Humanistic therapist I recognise that the relationship between client and therapist is crucial if the therapeutic relationship is going to be effective. Therefore, there is absolutely no obligation for clients to continue following assessment if they feel that counselling is not for them.
