Wealden Counselling Practice - Hege Soholt
Hamblys Natural Health Centre
The Old Dairy
I am a young person's psychotherapeutic counsellor, providing support to children, teenagers and young people across East Sussex and Kent. Some common issues I work with are anxiety and panic attacks; relationship difficulties; divorce and separation; self harm and eating disorders.
In the main my approach recognises the importance of building a good relationship so that my clients can feel safe enough to talk about or creatively explore the issues that have brought them to therapy.
As a counsellor, I help clients to explore what's going on for them so that they can gain understanding of their feelings and behaviour. This is because in talking about or creatively expressing what's going on for us we can gain a sense of release and relief from symptoms. Also, having a better understanding of ourselves and our reactions can help to build self-esteem and help us to develop better coping strategies.

My counselling sessions are held in a private room at Hamblys Natural Health Centre in Wadhurst, however, if meeting at the centre is not convenient it is often possible to see student clients at their school or college.
