Hayley Day - Claro Counselling
31 East Parade
With no restriction on the number of sessions that we can offer, you can gain insight and clarity at Claro Counselling. Conveniently located in Harrogate Town Centre, I provide a relaxed, confidential and safe place in which to explore many issues, with a non-judgemental attitude and empathic listening.
We can work with you for just a few weeks or for as long as you feel is necessary. Sessions can be held weekly, fortnightly or as appropriate.
The uniqueness of the individual is key and I am very conscious of this, so I strive to tailor-make the counselling sessions fit your specific circumstance. I choose elements from a number of different counselling modalities (techniques) depending on the nature of the issues presented in the session.
There are many different forms of counselling. As an integrative practitioner, I offer elements of psychodynamic, person-centred and cognitive behavioural therapy techniques.
Counselling primarily takes place in one-to-one sessions, although couples and families are also welcome.
Your First Session
A consultation session can be arranged for us to us to determine the most appropriate approach for your individual circumstances - this session may take up to an hour and is charged at half price.
Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified as a counsellor in 2005 with a Higher National Diploma in counselling. In 2014 I graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a BSc in Therapeutic Counselling, confirming my belief in the value of counselling and the need for practitioners to continually develop their knowledge and expertise.
In addition to my private practice, I spent six years working in a team of counsellors providing a bespoke counselling service for a local authority occupational health department.
For four years I worked as a school counsellor which proved to be a vital service for many students. I provided counselling for a wide-range of troubling issues for young people between the ages of 11-16. As well as offering one-to-one sessions I also ran group sessions/workshops on anger management, bullying, building self-esteem and building better relationships.
I have worked as a volunteer counsellor in the staff well-being service of a leading NHS Foundation Trust, providing a highly structured counselling service.
