Our panel of Private Practitioners include a number of experienced and qualified Counsellors running their own private practice in association with us. All our Counsellors and Therapists are experien with aims to develop unique therapeutic relationships with other individuals, and create an open, warm and non-judgemental environment for those individuals to use to explore their own issues and concerns and use as a vehicle for change in their own lives.
The team of freelance practitioners provide a free 20 – 30 minutes initial consultation where we can discuss how we can work together and whether what we are offering is right for you.
We have worked with many issues within the practice which includes:

All our counsellors are members of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and adheres to their standards and practices specifically the Ethical Framework details of which can be found on their website. We have worked in a variety of agencies including Grimsby & Cleethorpes District MIND, Open Door, Children’s Centres. the Mind Works Project (VANEL) and Chrysali Health & Wellbeing. Teaching personal and professional development within a local educational settings, community and 3rd sector organisations. All our counsellors attend regular supervisory sessions including peer and group supervision, All the team have current and enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate and fully covered by professional indemnity insurance.
Our practice is made of qualified counsellors, therapists and life coaches working with those suffering from the more common mental health disorders. We also run Wellbeing Skills Groups and one to one Life Coaching using a CBT & DBT approach.

We have a team of mental health professionals on hand who we work in partnership of which to sign post to.
We have in the past recruited Counselling Degree students in their final year providing them with work experience and additional training and supervision.
We also have recruited , trained and supervised volunteers to provide guided self-help and peer mentoring.

The team is line managed by our Practice Manager Ian Disley MAC who uses his cognitive behavioural coaching background in mental health to relate common emotional and mental health issues that can interfere with workplace performance, such as stress, anger issues, depression, anxiety, and communication difficulties. Ian is a qualified Life Coach with over 20 years of experience of working with vulnerable clients. He has spoken nationally on a variety of Mental Wellbeing topics, and is a member of the www.associationforcoaching.com/
With his insights about the common issues and challenges that people face as a foundation, he has spoken extensively on topics including assertiveness, positive thinking, mindfulness and managing stress effectively. Ian has designed and delivered interactive community based training programmes to all types of workplaces, from small businesses, government agencies to schools, charities and voluntary & community groups. His primary focus has been to offer practical, “hands on” strategies to boost emotional resilience, self-empowerment, enhancing personal and workplace wellness.
His interest in the importance of Workplace Wellness has led him to develop a wide range of Coaching Solutions where he applies his insights about people and mental health issues to the world of work and education by offering seminars, consultation, performance coaching and troubleshooting to the workplace.
As a Career Coach, Ian has also taught Employability Skills courses extensively at the college level, ran Work/job Clubs as well as managed and delivered Personal & Social Development programmes and Pre-employment training workshops around the country.
