About me

I am a qualified person-centred counsellor with a number of years experience in helping people with problems such as anxiety, relationship issues and family issues and through life changing events such as bereavement and redundancy.

Deciding to ask for help and get counselling is a big step for most people, so it is important that you take time to choose the right counsellor.

I will offer you a safe space where you can talk about your feelings and the things that worry you without being judged or having my views imposed on you.

Prior to training as a counsellor I worked for 20 years in the IT industry, including time at large corporations and start-up companies. However, after a redundancy I decided to retrain in something more fulfilling and more suited to the skills I believe I have. I feel that I bring this varied experience to my counselling work and this helps me offer my clients an understanding of the problems they face.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Diploma in Practitioner Counselling from City Lit
  • Certificate in Counselling Skills from City Lit
  • Bereavement Support training from Marie Curie

I have been regularly seeing clients since 2011 and am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I adhere fully to the BACP code of ethics in my practice.
