Graham Payne MBACP Registered
8 Deans Park
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I come from rural roots having spent a full and rewarding career in farming, now in my Autumn years I wish to help others around me going through difficult times.
Having been a Samaritan listener for 8 years I decided to go a step further and qualify as an Integrative counsellor, this means I am able to use several models of therapy to best suit your needs.
Rest assured I will do my utmost to help you work through your problems, however painful, at your pace in a quiet way, with respect and confidentiality.
As a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapists) I work to their standards and code of ethics.
I feel the following quote from Carl Rodgers sums up my thoughts on counselling
"When I have been listened to and heard, I am able to re-perceive my world in a new way and to go on. It's astonishing how elements that seem insoluble become soluble when someone listens, how confusion that seems irremediable turns into relatively clear flowing streams when one is heard. I have deeply appreciated the times that I have experienced this sensitive, empathetic, concentrated listening"
