About me

I am a Clinical Psychologist working both in the NHS and independent practice. I have been working with clients for over 10 years providing psychological assessment, formulation, and therapy for people with various forms of psychological distress.

The main form of treatment I use is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in addition to other evidence-based treatments such as Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These are structured treatments recommended by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE; https://www.nice.org.uk/) for many psychological problems including depression and anxiety. Using this approach in a compassionate and collaborative way, I have helped many people overcome their difficulties and assisted them in maintaining a sense of wellbeing.

I aim to provide my clients with a space to be able to reflect on the difficulties they face, and to help them to find solutions to those problems in a warm and empathic manner.

Common difficulties I can help with include:

  • depression
  • work related stress
  • panic attacks
  • generalised anxiety disorder & worry
  • sleep difficulties
  • postnatal depression
  • social anxiety
  • health anxiety
  • post-traumatic stress disorder

I also work with people who are living with physical health problems such as:

  • stroke
  • chronic pain
  • epliepsy
  • parkinson's disease
  • dissociative (non-epileptic) seizures

Training, qualifications & experience

Practitioner Doctorate in Clinical Psychology - University of Surrey (PsychD).

Postgraduate Diploma in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - University College London (PGDip).

BSc Human Psychology - Aston University (BSc (Hons)).

I have undertaken professional training in cognitive behavioural therapy for people with dissociative seizures at the Institute of Psychiatry at Kings College London.

I have been working with clients privately and in the NHS for over 10 years now. I currently work in the Department of Health and Neuropsychology at Charing Cross Hospital assisting individuals with various neurological and health difficulties. I have previously worked in IAPT services in South London using cognitive behavioural therapy to treat individuals with anxiety and depression.

I currently provide supervision to assistant psychologists and trainee clinical psychologists who are completing their doctorate. I am also involved in publishing research and a research trial investigating the effeciveness of treating dissociative seizures using cognitive behavioural therapy.

I am a practicing Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (registration number: PYL31291).
