Dr Graham Jensch BSc (Hons), PGDip, PsychD
Newlands Park Natural Health Care Centre
48 Newlands Park
I am a Clinical Psychologist working both in the NHS and independent practice. I have been working with clients for over 10 years providing psychological assessment, formulation, and therapy for people with various forms of psychological distress.
The main form of treatment I use is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in addition to other evidence-based treatments such as Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These are structured treatments recommended by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE; https://www.nice.org.uk/) for many psychological problems including depression and anxiety. Using this approach in a compassionate and collaborative way, I have helped many people overcome their difficulties and assisted them in maintaining a sense of wellbeing.
I aim to provide my clients with a space to be able to reflect on the difficulties they face, and to help them to find solutions to those problems in a warm and empathic manner.
Common difficulties I can help with include:
- work related stress
- panic attacks
- generalised anxiety disorder & worry
- sleep difficulties
- postnatal depression
- social anxiety
- health anxiety
- post-traumatic stress disorder
I also work with people who are living with physical health problems such as:
- chronic pain
- parkinson's disease
- dissociative (non-epileptic) seizures
Training, qualifications & experience
