I am a fully trained/qualified integrative counsellor, with knowledge of cultural differences. I believe that each person I work with is an individual and requires individual flexible approach. I am committed to providing counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment, with the aim of enabling the client to enhance his/her life. Over the past Eight years, I have worked continually with women/men who are experiencing trauma such as domestic violence, survivors of childhood sexual abuse, drug and alcohol misuse, and issue around mental health.
I provide counselling in Primary school, working with children through art therapy, which enable the children to communicate and express their feeling through play.
I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and as such adhere to their code of ethics of conduct.

Training, qualifications & experience
I have over eight years experience working as a counsellor, three of it as a senior practitioner in a paid employment, working with women who have been or are affected by domestic.violence.
In my role as a counsellor, I demonstrate a sound supportive and understanding role with the client’s high complex, and sensitive, emotional information, some which may be related to mental health issues, where there are often barriers to acceptance.
In common with all clinical/counselling psychologists, I receive regular clinical and management supervision in accordance with good practice guidelines, this is to promote and ensure the high standard of my work. To ensure that I work within a clinical governance framework, I also engage in personal and professional development.
I also have fifteen year experience working with the children both in primary and secondary school. In my role as a counsellor, I am required to demonstrate a sound knowledge of confidentiality and honour the trust placed in the practitioner.
I have knowledge and skills of higher diploma level 5 psychotherapeutic integrative counselling training and ability to help the client explore their personal conflicts.
